Event Details

Join us for an epic mountain bike ride and weekend in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah!! Our MTB Experience will include riding the legendary Wasatch Crest trail, an afternoon lapping downhill runs at Deer Valley, and training sessions at the gym to learn how to customize your training so you can maximize longevity and performance without taking away from adventures outside the gym.


Wasatch Crest Ride:

Friday we will be meeting at Park City Fit at 7:15 am for a shuttle up to Gaurdsmans Pass where we will begin our ride. This is a 13 mile ride and involves a challenging 1 mile climb to the ridge appropriately named “Puke Hill”. Don’t stress, you can walk when needed! Following the climb we will be riding the ridge between Parleys and Big Cottonwood canyons with epic view and generally rolling terrain. 


The crest trail will take us from Park City into the Canyons resort where we will descend down into the base village. 


The ride is 13 total miles and has just over 1,000 ft of climbing. You can find the route we have planned below highlighted in yellow:





Despite the challenge these are all blue trails with one section that is listed as a black. This is a walkable section of the trail that is quite short and if you’re up for the challenge to ride it, it will not disappoint! 


Deer Valley Downhill:

Taking a break from the pedaling and getting some lift access riding in. We will spend Saturday afternoon making laps with a variety of trails to choose from Green’s, blues, black, and even pro lines waiting and everyone can join in and have some fun here! 


Gym Training:

Saturday morning you will be learning how to assess workouts and customize the movements or approach to best suit your needs. This is the same method we are utilizing at Speal Programming and Park City Fit and can be easily implemented into your day to day training so you know you are taking the right approach. 


Follow up some lecture time with a workout where you can experience how to utilize our methods and break before heading out for some more riding. 


Final Day:

Sunday we plan on being flexible and seeing how the group feels. Options will include a recovery workout and learning how to self assess for what movements are best for you OR, a recovery pedal on some fun trails. 


This is an optional day for those that may need to make earlier travel arrangements.

8-9 am Lecture

Morning Gym Session w/ understanding how to customize programming based off specific goals and workout 


9-10 am workout 


10-11 am Q and A


12:30 pm-4:00 pm

DV downhill laps 


Sunday August 28th:

8 am - 11 am Optional recovery ride or workout 


Cost:

$999 w/o bike rental 


$1299 w/ bike rental (if you need a bike rental please email chris@spealprogramming.com with the following information so we can reserve a bike and helmet for you! No need to worry about picking it up or returning it! We will have it waiting for you at Park City Fit and will return it for you as well. We will send a link to make payment for the additional bike rental fee.
